It's slow. I know it doesn't seem that way but the current meta favors Zed/Talon type characters who have instant flash gap closers who eliminate the mage and then back out from the danger zone.

Good Orianna players destroy Talon in lane and does decent against Zed. Her Kit zones them early game very easily and people forget her AAs have Ap scaling from her passive that stacks 2 times so it will really hurt. She can easily prevent all ins by shielding herself then use w as a speed boost and slow to runaway. her e-r-w combo to herself counters Talons all in. She is less squishier when the ball is on her since it has a passive that gives bonus armor and mr.

I agree, it's a very well-made kit for the strengths it has, with exploitable weaknesses that you can play around and with. Might be a little undertuned, but then again, Ori buffs can have interesting effects in competitive play due to her traditionally high value there.
