The fact that the nerfed morde's pet dragon also makes my eyes watery. (and didn't mention it in the patch notes)
With how quick this came out after the Targon "event", I'm kind of hoping this might be the start of Riot finally fleshing out everyone's lores through these "not realy events" events. If they keep at this pace, we could be all caught up with the lore in the outlying places and finally reach the Demacia vs Noxus conflict by early next year.
League lore doesn't really make me tear up. Not enough investment in the characters since it's so short. However, real books, movies (Zootopia most recently, more than once), animes and all that will make me cry like a baby. But, you know, I love that feeling; when I'm so engrossed in something that I can be happy to the point I start crying, or sad to the point I start crying... I normally don't get that kind of emotion in life.
I liked that they didn't turn Xerath in a "bad person".
I have a secret hope that Xerath can redeem himself to the eyes of Ascension and make the Guardian of the Sands skin canon :3
