When I'm already irritated nothing sets me off worse than being told to "calm down". No, please call me out and make me look like an asshole, that REALLY HELPS CALM ME DOWN.

If you can't recognize that you are being an asshole or do something about it, even when it's called out, then you should really figure out how to deal with that. Makes life a lot easier to deal with (I mean honestly, who wants to be angry?).

Also helps deal with stress too.

There's a difference between being an asshole and being upset about something only to be condescended-at.

And what is condescending about asking/telling someone to calm down? Pointing out that someone is angry and that it's probably affecting his/her play confers no sense of superiority, nor of patronization.

Most of the time its not even that they're flaming, they're just playing Katarina or Akali or some KS master b*tch (I'm looking at YOU, LeBlanc D:< ) and then they make fun of you for not being able to get a kill bc they are stealing it and then rage out when you try to explain they're trolling. It's a shame that such a great game is so damn toxic.
