Hello folks I will be talking about what league is and how to play/improve your skills. Note im not telling you how to play just giving insight to both new and old players. (also hate how people say every league player is toxic, first off new language people use doesn't make sense, and I aint toxic at all xD, plus i met countless people in the community who are very polite and chill).

Chapter 1: Da Faq Is LoL Well if you don't know it by now heres the jist of it (you may skip this chapter if you know what LoL is). LoL is a 5v5 MOBA (multi player battle arena) where you play a certain character that levels up in game (starts game at lvl 1 then ends at lvl 18) while leading the cute minions of doom to destroy towers. Which after destroying so said towers, you destroy inhibitors that spawn enemy minions, then you go to the enemy nexus (giant base crystal) and punch really hard till' it explodes. You then win the game when that happens.

Chapter 2: Oh Look Maps Alrighty here's the kinda complicated part (you may skip this chapter if you aren't new to map layout). So the main map is Summoner's Rift, an arena with three lanes top (left), mid (midde), and bot (right), a jungle (split into four squares on the map I.E. bottom left, bottom left top, bottom right, and bottom right top), then two rivers on each side of the map going horizontally. Now for the fun part for jungle farming/team help. On the bottom left of the map has a wolf camp, blue buff golem camp, and a frog camp. On bottom right it has a raptor camp, red buff treefolk camp, and mini golem tortoise camp. For both rivers is a small crustacean named Rift Scuttler (when killed gives a mini ward). Then there's the mini bosses/bosses of the game map. In the left river is a pit that has a golem esq demon creature that stays alive before the 20 minute marker in the match called Rift Herald (when killed gives a magic damage buff, takes 2-5 people to kill it). How ever after the 20 minute mark a giant demonic serpent creature with a predator mouth and tentacles emerges called Baron Nashor (when killed gives a team buff for more player/minion damage, and quicker recall time). Next are the five dragons in the right river pit. Theres one for each element; Fire Dragon (when killed gives team additional magic and physical damage), Water Dragon (when killed gives bonus mana and health regen), Wind Dragon (when killed gives bonus movement speed), and Earth Dragon (when killed gives additional damage dealt to towers, rift herald, baron, and dragons). The Elder Dragon is like Baron super beefy (when killed gives your attacks burn damage and doubles the effect of elemental dragon buffs). The next map is Freyjlord a one lane map for random champion matches (its called ARAM). Then finaly is the Twisted Tree Isles is a 3v3 map where there's a top and bot lane with a jungle. Theres spires you can capture to give damage, mana, and minion boosts. Additionally this map has a boss called Vilemaw (three people dancing with him makes the boss do the carlton, when killed gives a buff similar to Baron). There's also Ranked gameplay for more competitive players (ranking is based on winning, kinda sucks sometimes when you got trolls and stuff). AI match which is for beginners, and custom match making for your buddies and stuff.

Chapter 3: Items, levels, and prizes! Oh My! Now here is where it gets weird folks (you may skip this chapter if you are not new). When you begin league you have a player level up (30 levels max). Every time you level up you get a point you use in your mastery pages (masteries help buff champions you use). During gameplay you get gold which helps you to buy items to enhance your champion during combat (getting kills on minions and champions increases gold intake). When a game ends you get IP (in game points) which can be used to get champions, rune pages and most importantly Runes (just like masteries these enhance the battle capabilities of champions you play). Then we have RP (riot points) you get these by buying them with real money to get champions, ward skins, bonus items, loot keys/boxes, and champion skins. Now the newest and most fun part, loot boxes. Opening these boxes with keys (you can acquire both items by either winning games with different champions or buying them with RP). Opening boxes can randomly give you a champion, ward skin, or champion skin, you can dismantle any of these to get shards which unlocks any of those items.

Chapter 4: Who is your champion? Okay first lets talk about classes and placements. There's mages which are the healers or bursty magic damagers (usually mid or bot support), Assassins whom are in and out fighters that deal physical damage (top, mid, or jg), Tanks/juggernauts which are very strong dudes (usualy top or jg), Fighters which are the close up semi tank peeps (top, mid, or jg) and the marksmen A.K.A. ADCs (mostly bot ADC, occasionaly top). Now each champion you want to play all the time or "main" depends on your play style and what you know about them. Along counters like Mages do well against ADCs and Fighters but not well against Tanks and Assassins. Then the team picks which help out everyone else. Yet some characters can be played in different lanes/roles being either dual types or how you make the character work better (like mage tank, Assassin Mage, ADC Support, etc.). Theres also OP champs that everyone likes to play and complain about but as long as you know what to do against them your fine. There's so many characters to love and choose based on looks and personalities, so heres the Faction inhabitants of Runeterra. The Denizens Of The Void; horrid abberations of doom waiting to consume the magic of Runeterra and seek its ruin (guys like Kog'maw, Vel'koz, Malzahar, etc. reside here). Denizens of Noxious (Noxians); war prideful people engulfed in conquest and bloodlust whom are in war with Demacia (people like urgot, Katrina, driven, Darius, etc.). The Denizens of Demacia (Demacians) they are strong and respectful warriors who battle the dreaded Noxians (people like Jarvan The 4th, Garen, Quinn, etc.), The Denizens of Shurima are wise warrior ascended to godhood or live in the sands (people like Azir, Nasus, Sivir, etc.), Denizens of The Shadow Isles spirits of death, war, and vengeance seeking to wreck havock on the living (people like Hecarim, Yorick, Kindred, etc.), Denizens of Mt. Targon, ascended humans based on avatars of sun, moon, and power (people like Taric, Leona, Aurelion Sol, etc.), The Denizens of Ionia are mystics and wise fighters (people like Master Yi, Irelia, Lee Sin, etc.), The Denizens of freijlord that live in cold conditions and act like well vikings and war torn peeps (people like Ashe, Trundle, Olaf, etc.) and the Denizens of Bilgewater, literally pirates and sea monsters lol (Gangplank, Tahm Kench, Miss Fortune, etc.). For starters I would recommend these champions (going by how easy and strong they are). Master Yi, Kha'Zix, Leona, Katrina, Garden, Shyvana, Vel'Koz, Quinn, and Fizz.

Chapter 5: Gamer Language and Communication... Wut? Now pretty sure you can figure these out but ima help you out. So GG=good game, WP" well played, OMW= on my way, CDR= cool down reduction, OOM= out of mana, GLHF= good luck have fun, AOE= area of effect, ADC= attack damage carry, JG= junlger, Top=top lane, SUPP=support, SUP=whats up, and Bot=bottom lane. Theres also in game chat as well, typing /all talks to the enemy team as well. Now just like every other game (not just league silly folks) your going to have trolls, people who think they are better, neady people, cursers, complainers, and well new people. Its up to you to ignore them (or mute), try to work with them, or help out your other team mates better. No one is truly "pro" (yes even Esport pros) for there's always room for improvement. Just enjoy the game, have fun, and relax, remember to take breaks as well if you are stressed.

Chapter 6: Shenanigans! The final conclusion to this post, the fun game types. Every weekend (Friday-Sunday) a random game mode pops up. URF (ultra rapid fire) for all you spammers with all the CDR and no mana loss, Ascension is a mode where anyone can kill xerath and become big with additional buffs while trying to get more points than the opponent, SnowDown where you fight with these cute little guys called Poros to beat the ever living daylights outa people in ARAM, One For All a mode where everyone plays the same champion, and Dominion which is a capture the flag mode with a circular map.

-Now thats all folks, remember no matter what most of the league community is very open and nice, and just have fun.
