Why I'm Quitting League.
Club Penguin is Superior to League in Every Way
Hello. I have been playing League for some years now, and I was thinking of giving up on this game. I was desperately searching for another game to sink my irreplaceable hours into. Then, I found it. It was everything I liked in League, just better. I found... Club Penguin!
Multiplayer
Club Penguin is a multiplayer game just like League. However, it does not suffer from the problems that League has like toxicity and trolls.
Chat
See, League's chat system is broken. People can speak homophobic slurs, racial epithets, and many many swear words. I didn't like that the report system only worked if the dude got a bunch of reports! Club Penguin though, does not mess around. In Ultimate Safe Chat, you are given a list of preselected, safe, phrases to use! It helps maintain that special super friendly atmosphere. If you are over 13, you can use the Standard Safe Chat, which is just like the League chat system. But! If you say one bad thing, you are out! No one else even sees the bad word! That is much better than League's dinky old "reports."
Trolls
Even though it is a multiplayer game, none of the minigames are multiplayer so no one can ruin your experience! Your igloo can only be edited by you, which prevents griefing, and there is no fighting or killing! Amazing, isn't it? Even if someone slips past the security, there are tough Moderators, the paragons of the community who uphold justice and honor.
Art
Unlike League, which is a hodgepodge of old and new art, different artists, and much more, Club Penguin has a unified, cohesive art style that pervades the world and gives it flavor. Everywhere you go, you are drawn into this charming snowbound world, free from your everyday stresses, while League plops you into a frantic chaos-filled bloodbath. Yuck. Also, speaking of yucky things, some League champions are drawn very badly, and nearly assault the eyes with their ugliness. (Hello Urgot? Gragas?) Club penguin isn't like that.
Money
League's way of making money is dumb. They have skins for a specific champion, or a ward skin, or summoner icons, these are all things that are designed to suck money away from you, the player! Club Penguin is much better. Instead of paying for things on an item-by-item basis, Club Penguin only has you pay a monthly fee to get all the benefits the game has too offer! Instead of paying real money for each and every clothing item, being a premium member lets you buy that clothing with in-game currency to your hearts content. Just look at how much stuff being premium can get you, versus what getting some RP can.
Premium: -Access to ALL Minigames and content! -Up to 75 Puffles of ANY color! -Collect many, many, awesome clothing items! -Buy cool furniture to deck out your igloo! -Earn rare quest prizes!
RP: -Maybe like two skins. -Dumb little square you set as your profile picture.
It really speaks for itself doesn't it.
Company
Riot Games vs. New Horizon Interactive. There is no decision to make here, New Horizon is objectively better.
While developing Club Penguin, it's creators decided to make child safety their TOP priority. This can be clearly felt in their security systems. Riot, however has done nothing of the sort, with half nude female characters, guns, blood and violence! The only step I feel they have taken towards child safety is the removal of Grave's cigar which promoted smoking in children and teens. That is nothing compared to the creators of Club Penguin though. Every year, Club Penguin hosts a charity event called Coins for Change in which players can donate in game currency to help out the environment, kids in third world countries, or sick children! They have raised millions for people in need around the world, while Riot has been sitting on their piles of money, doing nothing! It's clear which company is more ethical. Note that this has continued even though Disney bought Club Penguin. Disney is also a very kid friendly company.
Closing
I hope to see some of you on Club Penguin soon! Once I started playing, there was no way I could go back to League. It was just a worse game, and after reading this, I hope you feel the same.
