If it existed, it should only be allowed to your friends list. Thats my best option I mean

For those of you who oppose the the chat because of toxic flamers and mic spammers.

The mute button exists for a reason.

"Oh but then they won't cooperate and blah blah blah" bitch they weren't going to work together anyways, the fact that they were hyper toxic and mic spamming probably means they'd do it in the text too. That logic of your would probably also fit the idea of not allowing text chat, period.

I really liked the chat system on dota. Yeah, it did get annoying when you had toxic teammates but when you actually had a cooperative team it was amazing.

Also, it may be different for others, but I felt deterred to flame/get angry at teammates using voice chat. Might have something to do with talking directly at someone rather than text chat

If it existed you'd be harassed nonstop by lonely teen boys all the time. It gets annoying since it happens to my friend so much.

I tend to play with my actual friends.... we have skype for that. Granted all we do is mess around like we always do, never actually talk strategy.

I find that it's best that there isn't a built in voice chat. People would get pissed if you have it off since it's harder to communicate with you and I don't know about anyone else, but I tend to vocalize my frustration with teammates out loud to keep me from typing something negative in chat and stay civil... that kind of gets thrown out the window with voice chat .__.

Curse Voice. Razer Comms. TeamSpeak. Ventrillo. Mumble. Skype (if you really have to).

There's so many Voice Chat programs out there already. All Riot really has to do is endorse a couple of them and players will have them readily available if someone invites them to their call/channel/server in Solo Q. And I'm fairly sure most pre-made teams would already be using one of these programs.

The big difference is that these programs wouldn't put more strain on the LoL Servers, they wouldn't require a separate Riot team to update and maintain, and they already have features to Mute/Kick/Ban/Suspend people if necessary. If someone was toxic in LoL Voice Chat there would be a lengthy process to punish said player. If someone is toxic on your Server you can ban or suspend them yourself.
