play off roles for that champ. I got to mastery rank 7 with sona in like 10-15 games by playing her like a tanky top laner, jg, or adc. I carried games and get my mastery in no time.

When I had to get Tristana level 7, I had to duo with a great support in order to obtain after a week worth of pain! When I had to get level 7 Rumble, I spent almost a month also trying to get it! For almost a month, I cried even once because I knew I was good, but couldn't prove it! And 3 days ago, I got that last S, told the mastery system to fuck off! I AM good as Rumble and NOW I can prove it!
