How about when you go 0 0 9 as a support in a 20 minute game only to get a B while three people on your team get an S.

Riots logic: Sure you set up multiple kills and kept your ally's alive, sure you "assisted" in nine peoples deaths, but do you really feel like you did anything to help with that win?

The support grade system is heavily skewed.

It's made worse, I believe, by the fact that if you're playing Zyra/Morgana/etc or Naut/etc you'll be pitted against Mids/Tops in the statistical charts. At least, this is my assumption since your rank is "sorcerer", "colossus", etc., and it seems to be quite difficult to earn.

It is based on both champ AND role designation (how they determine this in blind pick i'll never know), so for example a Mid morgana will be graded in a different way than a support morgana.

This was the case last i checked, if i'm wrong then i apologize for misinforming you

You're exactly right according to what Riot told us.

They also said that they're going to adjust the mastery grading system for supports. It's too harsh right now.

In bot games, there's a bit of code that determines which lane you're in, and it sends the bots to the other lanes. I would assume something similar is used for this system.
