I started playing because a friend was playing as well, but I didn't tell him so I didn't get any real advice ...
This was at about middle season 2.
I started, skipped the tutorial (as I always do with games), started up a game, insta-locked Annie, went bot with smite and killed minions with Tibbers while feeding bots...
I thought the goal was to kill as many minions as possible or something ... but I didn't last hit.
I think I bought Warmog's ... twice ... and an item called Leviathan, because -15 percent damage seemed hella' OP. Then I played like 10 more games with Annie (losing most of them and still not knowing what the hell I was doing) and stopped for a month or two. But my friend kept on playing and he kept on bragging about some OP champion named 'Heimerdinger'
( I was just thinking : WTF are you talking about). So I started playing again. And I didn't get better for a very very long time. Too long to be proud of.

The first champion I played was Riven because she had no skill shots or targeted abilities. I also hated playing ranged champs for the longest time. For about my first 10 levels of play I thought that bot lane was easier because it was a duo lane. I didn't understand certain champions were built for certain roles that were played in certain lanes, so I would play riven bot (at least she can be a melee adc?) I didn't know that ability power = magic damage, so I thought that building AP items would make any champs abilities do more damage, so I built AP riven because I thought it would make her Q and W more powerful. Needless to say I got my first actual kill at level 8, and that was entirely a ks. After level 10 I played Akali, but I was really bad at hitting my combo, so I would just mash Q and R without knowing what it was they did, just knowing they caused damage. Somehow I got a few kills with her that way.

My first experience with League, I chose Shyvana. I also had no idea what I was doing, my friend just threw me into the game on his profile with no help. I went down mid lane with her, and because I had no idea what to do, I was losing. Needless to say that he just took over the game after about 10-15 minutes and I wasn't on league again until I made my own account and had more access to it a few months later. Back then, my main was Annie and I would almost never play anyone else.

my firs time playing LoL was MasterYi top lane and I thought I could go mlg pro because he was so op. Of course I did horribly as him because my friends said that her was op WHEN he was fed, I thought I was op when I was lvl because I thought his q will do tons of damage.

I don't recall using the tutorial, I just got my friend to teach me in normals. League was my first and only MOBA game so there was a massive learning curve for me lol. I bought random items, had no idea what a build was, and I didn't really know about roles. I'm not sure but I think the first champ I used my ip for was singed, cause I was in chemical engineering at the time so it seemed appropriate lol. I remember thinking I'd never spend actual money on skins. 3 years later I think I've spent like $200 on rp plus a couple prepaid cards in my stocking one year lol. I also remember the revelation that gg meant good game and wasn't just a shortening of g2g. Huehuehue.

My first was a master yi top, I built all crit, movement speed(boots of swiftness derr), and one damage item. I did okay but it's because the team we were against raged from a smurf mid who carried us. I think I went 2 kills for 2 deaths, second game was soraka mid and I got wrecked (something like 1-8) before I realized that there were lane positions and roles certain classes did better in.

The first time I played league, I used Garen. He seemed easy because you don't have to do any skillshots... I didn't get my first kill till lvl six and that was bc I ks'd our midlaner with the ulti... Hes still my favorite though and Im great at him now!

It was so long ago, but I distinctly Remember playing Chogath . I was explained the game by a Collage buddy of mine who I watched at times. I was Horribad at fighting other champs. I Just remember taking him top and nom nom'ing minions with his Ulti and Avoiding other players like the plague.

I played Nasus as my first champion, and I did decent I guess but I didn't know his Q stacked so it wasn't as good as he usually would be.
