Higher elo people need to seriously get off their high horse sometimes. Your good at a video game... slow sarcastic applause

All I can say is that some champs are better in high elo because they require their team to know how to play with them. For example Tahm, Bard, Thresh, Lulu, Zilean, Kayle. Or some who need help/protection from team like Olaf, kog'maw, .. but then these champs tend to have the advantage in low ELO that their opponents don't punish them for their weaknesses enough.

I think that you can climb with ANY champ that you main. Some are way easier than others though. Maining a hard carry champ like Zed will make you climb way faster in extremely low ELO but it'll get very hard once you can't snowball anymore. If you play a more team reliant champ like Janna, the climb in extremely low ELO will be slower, but you'll keep climbing even in those hard ELOs where games are getting pretty even very often.
