I main zac. "He's a diamond elo champ" I told a guy that ap zac is actually really bad in most situations and he told me I didn't know what I was talking about. To be fair I was in a losing position. xD

AP ZAc is VERY scary. Because he has the potential to burst down anyone when he lands his E.

But, that's if you can make the LC$FLA$HPLAY$ otherwise, you'll die off quickly. Lol.

It's basically your rating as a player. They don't even call it elo anymore. xd People just use elo because that's the way it has been for a while.

ELO is a rating system originally invented for Chess but used on many online games since. In season 1 and 2, league used an ELO system, but since season 3, it has been replaced by the divisions, LP and MMR. MMR (Match Making Rating) is actually very similar to ELO, but probably doesn't follow the same formulas (Riot never gave them free and up till now, they haven't been cracked) hence the different name. People still use the term ELO for MMR quite often.

All I can say is that some champs are better in high elo because they require their team to know how to play with them. For example Tahm, Bard, Thresh, Lulu, Zilean, Kayle. Or some who need help/protection from team like Olaf, kog'maw, .. but then these champs tend to have the advantage in low ELO that their opponents don't punish them for their weaknesses enough.

I think that you can climb with ANY champ that you main. Some are way easier than others though. Maining a hard carry champ like Zed will make you climb way faster in extremely low ELO but it'll get very hard once you can't snowball anymore. If you play a more team reliant champ like Janna, the climb in extremely low ELO will be slower, but you'll keep climbing even in those hard ELOs where games are getting pretty even very often.
