I can verify that Rioters swear casually and pointlessly all the time. We aren't trying to do it just to make you think we're cool (small chance of that!). That's just how we talk.
We can try to tone it down if you think it detracts from our messages, but we wouldn't want to appear too rehearsed or polished either.

I have to admit, I'm getting kind of annoyed at that behaviour from Riot. It makes them seem just more unprofessional and as the gif explains perfectly, they aren't pulling off the "connect to gamers" they want.

Unnecessary swearing on posts that are pinned to the top of the boards is unprofessional, and unnecessary. I like many of the reds that post on the boards, but sometimes Riot tries too hard.
I'm in my 30's so casual swearing on pinned messages from the game's developers does seem unprofessional to me. But I'm probably too old to be playing League to begin with lol.
I think it's strange that I can get reported in games for using the same words used by the devs on the forums. Or, at least people have said they would report language. Is it reportable then?
