it still works sometimes. My problem, though, is that in my elo, if an enemy is low, they generally die pretty fast, and it isn't worth my extermination. I'm guessing in higher elo's, when people do the jukes with <10% health, it would be more like that.

Yeah but with all the heals, Shields and invulnerabilities + malzahars built in veil and kayles ult + GA so many things that can deny him

You're right. Maybe, since that is basically his only spell, it could be invulnerable to invulnerabilities, if you get my drift. That would be nice
