Well you see, if the game is early enough that Nasus has few enough stacks for Rengar to even consider challenging him then in the 3-4 Qs it would take to kill Rengar he could've gotten about 12 stacks on minions. Since gold-wise that kitty kat is only worth like 15 creeps and stax-wise (which is what's important) the kitty's worth half the stax, Nasus is making the wise choice of ignoring Rengar. For you see, when late game comes he'll 1 shot that pussy faster than Rengar 1 shots Nasus' carry
