I shall upvote because its Kar, but I want to downvote because it is RWBY, I shall upvote because of Christmas spirit... >_<
I Upvote because it's RWBY :o
I don't understand what makes RWBY good. I watched two episodes of it and I just found the animation style too different from the regular anime I watch and the conversations too dull.
It's not actually anime. It's American-made. By Rooster Teeth. The guys who made Red vs Blue.
Though it was a different team of people at Rooster Teeth, it was still made in Texas.
I don't watch it either because I hate the animation style, but I'm not so petty as to downvote when I see it.
I just wanted to joke about RWBY, but I didn't have a good joke, so I just made something up. Looks like my future as a stand up comedian are about as bright as Sol's dying stars.
but I didn't have a good joke, so I just made something up.

It was supposed to be a joke?
the show gets a lot more in depth the more you watch, most of volume 1 is introductions and the teams kinda working out internal kinks. 2 starts getting into some plot but still a bit of internal development and 3 delves off the deep end come the second half of it. Literally the first 3 where just the begining of the story in the grand scheme of things. either way its understandable the animation style seems off at first, i was that way, but it gets its own charm the more you watch it, as well as gets a lot more refined as it goes on and even changes a ton in volume 4.
either way, alot of it is interesting and likable characters.
I don't have an issue with the story or the characters, just the animation itself. Also the way they talk to each other... Watching the first episode I think and the yellow girl attack the dude in the club, after beating up the guys he comes back with a rocket launcher and says, "I'm going to make you pay." and the fires. It just feel too, generic? I don't know the right word to describe it. Listening to them is like listening to one of those old 80s fighting game where the two guys will exchange some dumb lines then fight. I'm sure it is really good, but I am too used to anime to be able to watch it. Sorry for the hard criticism.
keep in mind that was before how much they knew the show'd take off. it takes itself a lot more seriously now. but thats fine, everyone has their preferences.
Screw plot! where's the part with the explosions!?
What about plot... AND EXPLOSIONS
As long as it's got plenty of explosions and guns, I'M HAPPY!!!
There's a saying about RWBY that rings true about 90 percent of things...
"Its also a Gun"
...
Where do I sign up?
Well, You could watch it at Roosterteeth's site, its also on thier youtube channel (but a week behind) and I think its now on Crunchyroll... (also behind). Id recommend watching the four trailers too beforehand.
There is also a small series released along side it called World of Remnant which basically is purely explaination and world building.
Also the soundtrack is really good imo
try to get past season one the animation was poor due to low budget at volume four now and the animation as gotten better

I keep seeing RWBY, but I don't know how to relate because I've only ever seen its involvement in Death Battle.
My friend showed me that episodes, but even then I didn't realize who the girl was in till I watched it. Wish I could relate as well, but I prefer generic Japanese anime and RWBY just doesn't cut it for me.
I'm not even into anime (okay, so I did see Angel Beats and liked it). My nerdiness hails from the high fantasy of Dungeons and Dragons, the Elder Scrolls, Legend of Zelda, Lord of the Rings, the list goes on. But there really wasn't any anime in my childhood aside from some sparse amounts of Digimon and Avatar.
I'm into both and find it hilarious how anime approaches fantasy.
They make so much shit weird and give elves bigger tits, but they also make melee fights awesome.
I never was really grabbed by anime's take on high fantasy.
looks in lap at Gameboy running Fire Emblem
...sort of.
