This would have been more relevant in season 4 or 5 when vision was far more plentiful.

Now it's a ward every 2 minutes for half the game unless you grab yourself a control ward, which unfortunately a control ward will only do you good if you have control over the lane to begin with.

Otherwise you place it, enemy sees you did it, they go and kill it immediately. You're out 75 gold and they just gained 30 gold and 12 xp (no joke, they give experience).

Makes sense if you're pushing, not so much if the enemy is turret diving (which nowadays happens more often than not).

While its true that most jungle ganks are enabled by poor vision and subsequent decision making its also true that some junglers are really good at ganking even warded lanes.

I mean, there is only so much I can do to ward outside of straight up buying a support item
