What patch do you chose to be stuck in eternally?

5.14 and 5.15. (5.15 was TINY )) AKA burning tides. This patch was, imo, almost perfect. Black Market Brawlers, Butchers Bridge, Gangplank announcer. I loved Gangplank back then (dont play him like i used to anymore but i'll play him from time to time still) and his rework made me want to play him even more. Only real balance problem was Vayne and she was banned alot so it was possible to get around that.

We had almost none of the bullshit that ruins the game today. No Class updates that break the game for months at a time, no stupid game pacing changes that season 6 introduced and nearly made me quit, no tower 1st blood. Games weren't decided by 1 lane feeding. As long as 1 lane did well you still had chance to come back. It was just an overall better game back then.

in 5.16 the juggernaut update came out. The game has sadly just gone downhill since then. As much as I love Illaoi Jhin Yorick Ivern Taliyah i would trade them for the chance to get back the game i once had so much passion for.

After looking back at it I have a specific patch. V1.0.0.150, October 25 2012. It was a solid patch in terms balance where there wasn't too much OP shit, it had a fair champion release with Elise, she was slightly weak but not incredibly so. There were a lot of good changes on 1.0.0.150 and very few bad and it was in the greatest season of League.

Honourable mention to V5.6 for being the best patch outside of Season 2, It was an URF patch, which is a plus even if URF can get old quickly, more options are just better. It also had the funnest jungle meta I've ever played in. A lot of people don't agree with me on that one, but I personally enjoyed the Cinderhulk meta after the original outliers were toned down a touch.

Who is Taliyah1/28/2017, 11:42:20 AM3 votes

Any patch between 6.11 and 6.14 before Taliyah's W was changed

The patch Tahm Kench came out - 5.13. Kalista nerfs and Singed buffs. Mana Pots, Flask, Ranger's, Poacher's, WOTA, and Zephyr were all still items. Grail was a viable midlane item. The Jungle was perfect except for a few abusers of Sated. No nonsense with Juggernauts or class reworks that fucked up balance for months. No elemental drakes, no first blood gold. No Camille or Tankko or Jhin (or Taliyah or Illaoi or Kindred or Aurelion or Kled or Ivern for that matter too). No keystones and no busted crit itemization. Yasuo, Caitlyn, Graves, Syndra, Ahri, Twitch, Vi, etc. were all fairly balanced.

It was a simpler time then.

Somewhere season 5. Maybe 5.16?

At least at a point where damage wasn't too high, teamfights lasted for more than 2 seconds and Games were decided after minute 30, not at Minute 10.

3.14, back when this game was good.

We at least had Draft Pick back then. Also, the SR graphics were in tune with the style of the game.

The patch that Vi came out in, when I started. I'd have a nostalgia trip every time I log in and can jam to that song again.

The patch that Wukong was added in so I can see what it was like when he was OP O.O

Patch 04.01???

RainXBlade1/28/2017, 4:44:04 AM1 votes

It would either be:

  • Patch when Sated Devourer was released or
  • Patch when Yasuo's Q could be reduced to a cooldown of 1.13 seconds

6.8, really as much shit as season 6 got (and for good reason too) this patch was pretty damn good.
