Why would Overwatch kill League? They're two separate genres with very little overlap. If anything kills it'll be Riot themselves.

Honestly I'd go to Overwatch, buy it, play it for 5 days, remember I fucking sucked at FPS's, and would come back to LoL.

I'm not hoping Overwatch (or any other game) kills League, but I am hoping that League gets some competition out of it. Maybe now that there's a new guy in town Riot will get nervous about some of their more recent controversial changes and make more player-friendly decisions.

Imagine a world where SoloQ, a sandbox mode, and a support role that's not hated like a redheaded stepchild all exist in League of Legends. I want to live in that world.

Why would anyone downvote this? Its true.

Just like Blizzard had to pull their collective head out of their ass after Path of Exile came out for the sake of Diablo 3.

More successful MOBAs will force Riot to stop making all of these horrendous changes so they can stay competitive and commit to making some actual growth, gameplay-wise, happen for once, rather than just 'let's shake things up for no reason and make the game unenjoyable for half a season.'

Once it gets more maps/heroes in the game, maybe. Currently I have a ton of fun on it and when I tell myself i'm gonna go play league after this match I end up playing way longer than expected. Definitely more balanced (aside from fucking bastion) than league so it has that going for it I guess.
