Ditto if you're playing Karthus. No mana costs and they can't interrupt your spells once your passive activates.

You're right, though I'm pretty sure he was referring to the fact that you can only buy items after you die. It's not uncommon to die with, like, 4000 or more gold after you go on a hot streak with the bare basics.

That's when you look for an opportunity to get Executed. Which is sort of a weird thing to aim for, to die without anyone on the other team getting credit just so you can go back to buy stuff.

Played a game with Janna, and ended with nearly 7000 gold because I never died...

Imagine how much AP could have been used to make my Q's that much more powerful... :D :D

pretty random but have you seen the 14 damage dragon steal by janna in the lcs he walked up put a tornado down with no ap items and instantly shot it out and it had 14 damage and stole dragon

Getting executed intentionally is a thing in aram? that seems like a pretty smart move. i never thought to try that if i happen to be sitting on over 2k gold, this is news to me though it seems like it would be pretty difficult to pull that off without taking hits from the enemy in the process(like if someone on the enemy team happens to have lived after the royale ended). when i see others do it, i assume that got greedy or lagged out or something .hmmm.

its not that hard.

1.) win a teamfight (aram is 100% team fights) 2.) run head long into a tower without minions 3.) go on a school girl shopping spree and buy everything you see 4.) run straight into the enemy team and press all of your buttons.

In which case i would just go ham and die trying anyway. Its rare in my games to ace the enemy team, that's why i was surprised that this method existed. but then again, i'm not an avid aram player.

I dunno.

While I have no problem getting intentionally killed in a hard, back and forth game, I feel like if I'm getting massively fed, it's cheap.

In any ARAM game, if I get fed I simply play a game with the enemy : either you completely ignore me or take me down and risk me being much more powerful than before. I remember a game where I went from Chalice + 2x Faerie Charm to full build Lux after the enemy team's Darius dunked me on mistake. It's pretty surprising that I didn't feel that useless even up to that point.

There's just something about being this massive ticking bomb that could go off at any moment that feels to good to simply ruining by suiciding.

Twice ive went 18 and 0 as velcoz in aram. Had over 15k gold by the end with only a chalice and amp tome.

Vel'Koz is different, most of what you need for him is mana regen which is built in on ARAM. His true dmg carries most fo the dmg which scaled by level so. :P

If you don't ace, It mostly requires you either already being low hp, or a melee champion. Or the good old "sit in brush and they don't check" move. But if you're really fed, it doesn't really matter if they get one kill extra. I would just take my chances even with a Caitlyn under tower.

The most I remember to have at first death was somewhat over 6K gold. It must've been like a Lux or Janna game.

U dont have to ace them. Especially not since summoner 32 . People hide in the grass hit a minion wave behind the enemy champs and run to the nexus turrets, they even burn a flash if they have to.

But there are other ways too, agro the turret just before the siege and hide behind your team in turret range while they are trying to take it down; Enemies are too busy defending, no one wants to go behind enemy lines even if the line is under their own turret.

A lot of champions have kits that help them execute them self's while the whole enemy team is mid way to their turret (Its way more easier if you have one turret down on your side, even if you ware hit you still can manage to buy some time before the timer goes off its just 10sec):

Teemo : Hides in grass and hits W behind them. MasterYi : Ults, runs around the team fight, even uses W while under the enemy turrets to buy seconds if he was hit. OLD Poppy : ulti from the grass flash run behind enemy team.

... And many more! Dont forget LeeSin or TwistedFate and TahmKench and Sion .

But here is the most common scenario:

You are over 5000 gold, they have all the turrets still up, the only enemy left is half HP and is behind the turret, if you go in and kill him in time to hide in the grass mid way between the outer turret and the inhib one. And wait for around 5 sec, you can then get out and offer your life to the inhib turret. Even if you dont manage to make a kill your still choose your death in a appropriate time so you will be re-spawned in time to def if your team manages to die besieging the turret. And people go for it a lot! especially if they have an Assassin. They have much to gain even if they just feed that one kill.

If you find it a fun mini game you will find a 1000 ways to do it.

Had a Katarina once on my team, managed to pull off 6 executions, ended the game 30+/8/8

LOL, try getting executed as anivia with your passive available. I felt like an idiot as they converged on my egg. It was pretty funny, though.

Yeah, even if you can't get a clean execute dying on purpose is a legit strategy in ARAM and when I have the right amount of gold I generally look to make a play where I can at least trade 1 for 1 or failing that just deal as much damage as I can before dying.

In fact I feel it's often better to just die rather than hanging on with 100 health. Because then you can't really do much and it's essentially a longer death timer, because they'll eventually get you with some poke, and that extra time will have just been a waste. It also staggers respawn timing which means your team can't effectively group, etc, etc.

Not an avid ARAM fan myself but these are the things I think about when I do play because it makes it more interesting for me.

If they don't have a healer/good sustain, you can just max E and suicide into them continually with snowball. So long as you always get a kill when you do this, you get out of control pretty fast.

It's kinda weird...with some of my ARAM games with Lux, I go 6/0/18 (just as a numbers example, dunno if it actually happened), but when I finally die, I end the game at 9/1/30 (or whatever). Always wondered why I could get more kills with less items.

its because you didnt buy triforce duh you need the illuminate to help you do damage and when you buy boots ring and tome thats 3 items 3 points on a triangle so the illuminatee helps you out

These have been most of my games lately, its pretty difficult if you happen to get paired with a team with insane amounts of CC or my worst nightmare...a full tank comp. its usually gg at lvl 6.

Ezreal has a rough start on ARAM but he, along with TF, is my favorite champion to play on the map. His damage is hilarious in teamfights, and I have gotten a Quadra kill with a lucky ult.

I once went Deathless on ARAM with Lux, and I still did damage. The enemy team was actually getting pissed at me cause I just kept living with the smallest sliver of health
