Well the rule of thumb is that RWBY team names need to be a color, or make you think of a color. Same thing with RWBY character names, theres a third rule but it slips my mind :P

Thats the name of the Main Team. Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang. RWBY (it is actualy said like Ruby too)

Thats how all the names for teams are formated. JNPR (Juniper): Jaune, Nora, Pyrrha, Ren. CFVY (Coffee): Coco, Fox, Velvet, Yatsuhashi. SSSN (Sun): Sun, Scarlett, Sage, Neptune. Thats how it works. Also the Leaders of the Team are the starting letter, always.
