It's a mirror that creates copies of whatever's in front of it . The hero in this part of the game was trying to destroy it because it was being used to create an evil army. but by breaking it from the front the mirror created one more incomplete (as in it didn't get his personality and morals right) copy of him just as it was shattered.

...Basically I don't like mirror lanes.

but mirror lanes are fun when your playing aggressive champs and make your jungler avoid the lane. tanks and the same supports just create boring af lanes
