Welcome back, Jack.

New Sam Jack is amazing. I had never watched it as a kid, but after this new season ends I plan on watching all the old ones. Or maybe before the last episode of this new season.

I have the box set. (>_>)

The old ones weren't episodic (with a few exceptions) like the new season. Weren't as dark either, due to content rating concerns. But still one of the best cartoons in memory.

Yea I browse the sub reddit and that's basically what most people have said.

The episode where Ashi is going around and encounters people who Jack had saved in the past really solidified me wanting to watch the old episodes. Jack just seems like such a cool character I wish I had watched the show growing up but I was more of a Nickelodeon kid with Rugrats, Hey Arnold etc.

OH and that Jack's voice actor is Hermes from Futurama. I had never known that haha.

HE ALSO DID HERMES?!

God damn I didn't know that!

I was buried in studies when I posted it, sue me. The point is that a ton of amazing shows on Cartoon Network have come out since 2004 and dismissing them all as sub-par compared to the "golden-age" of CN like Dexters Lab, Cat-Dog, Samurai Jack, etc. is borderline idiotic. Do some of CN shows like the new Powderpuff Girls and Teen Titans GO make you violently ill after seeing them? Yes, but lumping them with everything else is incredibly ignorant.

I hate to be THAT guy, but the amount of stupidity when it comes to people's opinions about CN is nigh unbearable.

Fosters is pretty old isn't it? That was like right at the end of the "old gen". The new Gen has some decent stuff. Adventure Time was probably the first show that brought me back to CN. Regular Show is decent. Steven Universe is actually really good if you actually watch the story.

The thing i really don't like is 75% of them are drawn the same. Someone much less lazy than I can easily find that picture that shows 6 characters from different shows with the same head shape. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

OK, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Steven Universe are pretty quality, but the rest of those... Hard pass. Batman: tBatB gets an honorable mention for not being that bad, but not being that great either, it's like the perfect meh. Flapjack was basically "How can we make what's supposed to be a children's show as creepy as possible without it being Courage the Cowardly Dog" from the couple of episodes I actually managed to sit through, and Adventure Time and Chowder, while having decent animation, just really didn't do anything for me.

Granted, my opinions don't mean anything about your enjoyment of the shows and vice versa, so like, watch whatever you want dude, but some people genuinely hate that entire list with a passion and think that the older Cartoon Network is factually superior. No point splitting hairs over opinions of TV shows.

Agreed, I just don't like one person making an incredibly naive post and it getting mindlessly upvoted. I'm willing to bet money that most of them weren't even around long enough to see the old Cartoon Network TV shows. Another thing that a lot of people missed is that that meme is talking about Cartoon Network from 2004 to 2010, which is a LOT different from Cartoon Network 2011 to the present time. If it were talking about the present Cartoon Network, I would be ok with that because it literally has gotten lower quality since 2011 (How do make a grown man cry? Whisper in their ear "Teen Titans Go"). Are there still good shows on CN? Yes, but they are getting increasingly fewer and fewer atm.

It doesn't matter if people hate those TV shows, the truth is that some of them are simply just as good as the older TV shows. The Regular Show was nominated for two Annie Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards (if your wondering what those are look it up). You can hate shows with a burning passion in comparison to things like Regular Show but it still does not make then any less quality.
