I've been maining bard for a while now ever since he was released. I'm probably the best or at least top 3 bard players ever. I don't think this is fair just because you're too poor to buy him.
Well, we should have seen this coming 
So every solo bard I've seen either abandons botlane entirely leaving you 2v1 or they stay botlane, never collect chimes, and they just whip out Ws on your face for like 2 health. Like seriously, why do people play a champion thats rated hard without at least looking at the spotlight? Lol. Best part is the ulti, oh boy. So many times I just see the thing land in the middle of a teamfight where it basically does nothing since both teams were equally locked. Seriously, all you have to do is save it to protect allies or whiff it at their backline on 2 people for a free pick on their front.
I have a similar reaction when ADC Insta-locks Kali.
&Support Problems.
If you are on picks/bans... just ban him. The same was true with Rek'Sai at launch... so many people didn't understand the tunneling thing.
Alternatively... just pick support and you won't have to worry about your team having it... of course you won't be able to carry the match likely however.

People somehow have to learn how to play him. There is no way around it, you either pick it or don't learn it.
It's kind of true. Anytime I see a Bard locked up I immediately take support for the free "at least bot lane was good." Rolled over a Bard/Ashe with Ez/Lulu.
Anyone playing a champ in ranked while it still has it's release IP cost up is going to throw.
... Then I come to the lol forums and remember most people do not have a properly calibrated humor switch, and their sarcasm and satire gauges are just flat out broken.

The only people that are able to say they know how to play Bard is the PBE testers who played him extensively for two weeks on the PBE. 2 days is nothing to master a champion.
