Worst part: I've been playing Pokémon since Blue version... I accidentally skipped gen 3 and haven't gotten a good amount of the event Pokémon, though I did get a copy of old Ruby from my cousin for getting the Regis and now I have Alpha Sapphire, nonetheless I still have QUITE the collection if I may say so!

Though recently I'm trying to be an Eevee Breeder. Doing just this evolutionary line is enough stress for me! [slayer-jinx-unamused] Its difficult trying to get the right Natures, and IVs for EACH evolution which is eight different types with advantages and disadvantages based on their BASE stats! I can get them with Eevee's HA though! Which can become surprisingly powerful on some its evolutionary forms.

The struggle is real IV training is annoyin as hell ive been shiny hunting for a shiny zorua and im on number 245 still none welp the grind is rea l*[zombie-brand-clap]* but meh tis a pokemon trainers life hue xD still im glad u got quite the collection the only bad news is that i lost my cartridge where most of my previous gen legendaries were ;/ i almost cried

IVs (Individual Values) CAN'T be trained, your thinking of EVs (Effort Values) which can be trained (more easily now with the Super Training AP in game). IVs are set as soon as you SEE the Pokémon in the wild or when it hatches from an Egg, but they can be passed on though, which is what Breeders want to get the best of.

Quick way to tell what your Pokémon's best IV stat is to look at its info page. Look at its Characteristic, and it can give you a good idea what its best IV stat is.

Example from my Alpha Sapphire game: My Houndoom has a Modest Nature (Better Special Attack stat growth, lousy Attack stat growth), it also has a Mischievous Characteristic which means: It will grow THE fastest of its stats, and its BEST IV stat IS Special Attack! This allows it to be one GREAT Special Attack user, making those hit even HARDER! In-fact I breed it to have 5/6 PERFECT IVs! Its only bad IV stat is Attack which is rarely used on a Houndoom.

There is ALWAYS an IV Judge in more recent games that can give you an idea of what a certain Pokémon's best (or worst!) IVs are.

Also I feel your pain! [zombie-nunu-tears] I lost my old Crystal version! And my Blue version's internal save battery died!

Fun Fact: All the Eeveelutions have Base Stat totals of 525! The difference is how they are distributed! Some might even surprise you!

In AS, I'm trying to assemble a full team of them with some alternates (two sylveons, for example, one with pixilate and one without)

It's a painful but completely worth it process to murder people with the fully leveled eeveelutions.

I can agree to that part! Although, word of advice: Pixilate (+ Hyper Beam) is, statistically speaking, more reliable then Cute Charm since the later only works when hit my direct contact moves from the opposite gender. And even then rarely. My advice though: Have variety in the team. Some HA Eeveelutions are STRONG! Like Espeon having Magic Bounce can ruin many a foe with it reflecting back LOTS of different status moves! Some of the HAs are not bad, but not great either though.
