You know, a few patches ago, Riot said they added a new snap feature to wards that if they get placed close enough to a bush, they will move over just enough to be in the bush... but then I still missed the bush .--.

I think it was in the patch where they gave wards an indicator on the minimap to tell you if your placing the item 3363 in a bush or not. I remember testing it and it worked once or twice, but a few games later it was back missing right next to the bush.

You can always not use the minimap one, the - dunno how to call it - "live" indicator is still working.

Well, I only really have that problem if I go to quickly place a ward. When that happens, I neglect to look at any indicators, which leads to me accidentally placing it outside the bush. I use the minimap to place a item 3363 if I'm placing it way outside camera view.

Unless you are doing the Scarra ward, it's quite easy to tell if a ward will end up in or next to a brush.

How? Ward's outline will switch between green and blue depending where it'd be placed.

Wait, wards don't have to be smartcasted? Ive been playing for months and had no idea.

You mean quickcast.

Quickcast is when whatever you set to that option, is used on-button-press. For smartcast it's when you release the button, so you can actually aim or cancel the order.

Check in-game options, it should be under the trinket slot(4?).

Personally, I have everything set to smartcast, because it makes no difference for self-cast item actives like Zhonya.

Side note: if you happen to play a champion with targeted shield(Lulu, Karma, Janna), I suggest setting them to self-smartcast. Again makes no difference for non-targeted abilities, but you won't have to always aim for yourself durning a teamfight when needed.
