Rakvir1 votesI can't remember the exact details, but when the Worlds groups were first announced, it was basically going to where they host the stream footage and follow the appropriate links to the contest portion where you picked how you thought the outcomes would be, eventually culminating to which team would win Worlds final and depending on how accurate your overall picks were, there was a tier list of rewards. Icons were the only easy ones and a skin (or skins? forget how many) for the ultimate winner.
I think only one person got the top reward last year, if I recall correctly, that or the year prior to that one. Either way, the power of premonition would need to reach ridiculous levels to come out of it with anything more than an icon or two. I think some of the luckier people got ward skins, maybe?

Rakvir1 votesYeah, I'm kicking myself in the rear for not doing it because I have been so out of it that I forgot it was even a thing so it slipped right by me. Riot doesn't do, what I feel anyway, to be a very good job promoting these sorts of things. I only learned of it because of the forums non-stop talking about it last year and since that didn't happen this year, it went quietly under the radar.

its a very specific word, and it means to be in extreme intoxication and its silly to say "only less drunk" when referring to a minor "buzz" which im sure you will hate this comparison as well, but its much like saying "slightly morbidly obese" a simple "obese" would do the trick dont you think?

which implies no intensity and is ready for enhancing adjectives such as "heavily" or "extremely" or in your case "slightly"
saying "only a little drunk" is more of a comedic valued statement...youre heavily intoxicated since your drunk and have gone well passed being buzzed and attempting to not admit the fact.

The fact is that being buzzed still affects your behavior and is true for just about anyone (to the point where I haven't seen an exception). For example, laughing or cheering louder than you normally would because you're indoors. Buzzed is a lesser form of being drunk. Shitfaced is when you're drunk to the point you're about to pass out. Drunk doesn't imply intensity any more than intoxicated does. The difference is that intoxicated doesn't imply a source whereas drunk does.

While alcohol itself is not a drug, we know that "being high" means you've lost some of your reasoning power. Therefore, it comes under "drunk" whenever the buzz is due to alcohol.
Therefore, "buzzed" is a possible form of "drunk", both of which is encompassed by "intoxicated", all by the definitions you got from Merriam Webster.

BTW, I've had my GED since '05. The only reason I have it instead of a normal high school diploma is due to burning out when taking my Trigonometry class and otherwise wouldn't have "graduated" the same year as my peers.

S H A Y C 01 voteswhatever it is your drinking thats that cheap would probably make me gag... it took years to acquire a taste for beer and be able to drink it without almost throwing up to begin with, now that i can drink it i refuse to drink anything that i dont consider "good beer." Also, im a big boy and getting drunk is very difficult. I have to prepare hours in advance by not eating and then i have to consume a lot of whatever it is before hunger wins over. a single slice of pizza or sandwich or a bowl of pretzels can put me back in driving shape and make it near impossible to get where i want to be if i eat before i arrive at my drinking destination. not that this was ever really part of the discussion but it seemed reasonable to share with you.

But ive never seen anyone down 160oz of a malt and not get drunk (or end up in the hospital). By the way, Mickeys is pretty drinkable for being that cheap. "Good beer" is subjective - some people think Bud Light is "good", while connoisseurs would think Racer5 is "good". If youre a connoisseur that wants to drink for cheap, I'd suggest going to Trader Joes - they sold a Mission St 22oz for $3 that was actually pretty good.

Aeszarck1 votesLast year, for my first Worlds Pick'Em, I picked teams based on my intuition and the eSports article talking about how teams will probably score. I did really well; I only missed a few Groups teams and one first round Knock-out stage team. I think I got like 96 points or something. This year, I'm sitting at thirty, with a maximum possible of 85 if I get all my other Knock-out stage picks right. This has inspired me to do a random Pick'Em next year. (I'm 18 and am an American, so no alcohol for me.)
Group 1: Will roll a die for each team in group. Highest rolling team wins. In the case of ties, I will roll again for both teams to see which team gets higher. Group 2: Will use a spinner divided up into quarters, one quarter for each team. First team I spin wins the group, next team gets second, etc. If I spin a team I already got, I'll spin again. Group 3: Will get playing card deck and shuffle. First, I'll assign teams to their respective suits by choosing a team then drawing a card until I get a suit that has not been taken yet. Then I'll reshuffle the deck and draw the first card. That team wins. Next suit that I draw that was not previously drawn gets second, etc. If I draw a joker, the EU team (if there is one) goes last automatically and all teams are moved up one spot if possible. Group 4: Will trust my gut and do an actual Pick'Em for this.
Exceptions:
Knockout 1-1: Will trust gut and do actual Pick'Em. Knockout 1-2: Will assign teams to sides of a coin and flip coin. Winner wins. Knockout 1-3: Will shuffle deck, assign teams to color of card, then draw card. Winner wins. If joker, then the EU team loses. If there is no EU team, I choose who wins and who loses. Knockout 1-4: Will trust gut and do actual Pick'Em.
Knockout 2-1: Will trust gut and do actual Pick'Em. Knockout 2-2: Will trust gut and do actual Pick'Em.
Knockout 3-1: SKT
