Title.

People seem to think if you're bronze or silver you're just shit and don't know anything. Got into a game with a darius the other day in a blind normal game who just autolocked instantly, and all he had to say was "plat," like ok thats not an excuse to be a dick. Not everyone plays league to climb the ranked ladder, some people play for a long forgotten thing called fun. And it's a shame when people condescend others because they haven't achieved high elo.

I know people are gonna say im salty because im bronze 5 but i only played ranked up until my first promos, i have 13 wins 16 losses which isnt a terrible win loss ratio and that was at the beginning of the season and i did it to try and help a new friend that just reached level 30 at the time. We realized ranked was way less fun than normals and just stopped playing ranked, but ive been playing (off an on) since season 2. Not everyone with low elo sucks ass, and if they do how about offer them guidance rather than flaunt your superiority and make them hate the game and community?

Almost. After Diamond it seems people get pretty loose. But from Bronze to Plat its pretty much if you're one division lower(even just like Bronze VI>Bronze V) then you suck more than them and they're above you.

And thus the asshole was banned. No one was even eligible to que for ranked in the first place.

Thing is, it's blind pick and so people can instalock and go wherever they want. That being said, not communicating with your team just makes things difficult as now everyone has to decide on what to play around the player who instalocked.

As far as him just saying "plat" there's really no point other than to stroke his own ego. But if that's all the person did, then just get over it. No need to make a post about it just because someone said their rank as they locked in. Better to just enjoy the match and not let that person's one word get to you.

well this is just the most recent example but everyone loves looking down on people with low elo. go through the boards for 10 minutes and you'll find dozens of people condescending "bronzies"

That's a given, because people are naturally assholes. But there are people in higher elo who don't care what rank a person is and just play the game, and there are also people in high elo who are willing to help those in lower elo. But no one ever mentions those people because we like to remember the negative things more than the positive things, no matter how insignificant.

Face it, humans are spoiled little assholes.

well from what i've been reading on the boards lately if a high elo person helps a low elo person its automatically "boosting" and everyone associated is banned

i'm just being dramatic but there are a lot of posts about that lately

Helping is not just "duo que with me on my smurf and I'll carry you"

It's also "Hey, lets make a custom game and play against each other and I can give you tips and tricks on what would work better playing X champion or playing against X champion."

plat is middle elo

yeah plat is "middle elo" but plat 3 is also the top 4% of the player base while plat 5 is the top 8%. That is pretty high last i checked. Bronze 5, you is sitting at the top 97% which is pretty low. if not almost the bottom of the barrel. I'm not putting you down or anything but hes almost 90% of the league community BETTER if hes the lowest plat with some lp. I think plat 5 0LP is like top 10% idk anyway it gave him no right but that is why he probs has an ego. Also many bronze think they deserve like diamond or plat or even gold but they blame game and it is "never" there fault hence why people look down at lower elo usually.

Welcome to Yoloque, for your first placement match, have an enemy with a jungler that intentionally feeds your carry. For your second match, be flamed for playing your main by a support that goes afk after giving up first blood
