Thoughts on Lichbane? (Friendly Discussion)

item 3100 So I wanted to catch everyone's feedback on the lichbane changes. I had this weird feeling it was going to get nerfed. I new if a person combined item 3100 item 3089 item 3115 and the arcane sword mastery, 5% ap to auto attack, the champion would be doing over 100% ap on th next auto attack. 75 + 15 + 5% = 95%, but the fact that rab has 30% increased ap, well that how i get the over 100% ap.

So I find it interesting, I hope it doesn't kill my gameplay too much. I use item 3100 on Lux nearly every single game because it lets me add an extra punch to assassin champions and turrets. The one thing I find interesting is the 75% ad. I wonder how this will play for hybrid champs and if gunblade lichbane will be a new combo as the lichbane will benefit from both stats.

I love the item 3100 and the changes to it are a bit strange. For my champion, Lux, I feel most won't notice at all, as I feel that I'm a niche item 3100 Lux player, I could be wrong! I do play a hybrid Lux, so Now I'm curious if this change helps her alternate gameplay. Only thing I'm disappointed about the lichbane nerf is the buff, is that a few champs were buffed to accommodate.

So what are you opinions on the lichbane? Over Nerfed? Not Nerfed enough? Does the AD ratio even benefit ap champions? What champions do you use Lichbane on and how do you think it will affect them?

While I apriciate the direction, geting away from heavy burst with insane scaling to sustained dmg with less scaleing and a bit more base, i feel like the changes are not great. I think instead of buffing some champs that used it, rather buff the item outside of the dmg-proc.

As it is now, Lichbane feels a bit underwhelming and not realy fitting the suatined dmg idea. It should either give stats supporting the sustained idea, like building from fiendish codex and giving cdr for more dps/utillity, or give def stats or a shieldmechanic on proc-use to increase the durabillity. More ms would also help to make use of sustained dmg... U can't use susatined dmg if u can't sustain urself through a fight, with a glasscannon built u would focus on a fire and forget burst, not on sustained dmg output.

And befor u people go ham on hybrid-builts: IT'S BASE AD, NO ADITIONAL DMG GAIN FROM AD-ITEMS sry, but if seen way to many people claiming it would benfit hybrid-builts

Seems pretty odd that it'll only be 75% base ad. Sheen does 100% with ap, iron gauntlet does 125% with an aoe, and now lichbane is going to do only 75%. YOu'd think it's do 100% ad base damage.

well as it is a tool to get more sustained dmg out of ap-casters i really dislike the changes a fair bit. Either buffing it´s defense to make up for the dmg loss and suit the topic of staying in a fight longer and dealing more dmg over the amount of time - or they just could let it stack on one target - so it´s 0,3ap on the first, 0,6 on the 2nd and 0,9 on all following hits...to remove it´s burst completely, but give a huge reward if you manage to cling to one target for the duration of a fight and enable casters to really hurt tanks in the long run.

Lich Bane is still broken all to hell. I just switched from a full AP build that took advantage of the three items you spoke of in nashtors, deathcap, and lich bane. I went with lich bane, rageblade, and gunblade. The difference was astounding with how little the damage output was changed, but the survivability was drastically increased.

Fear the hybrid builds now. Fear Jax going with a hybrid build, as I think he is now straight up god tier.

I think they may have been targeting champions like lux and ziggs specifically. The already high burst champs building it was why they nerfed it. It makes a lot more sense when you look at it as a nerf to a group of champs.
