What is riot going to do about the platinum people spamming their channels on smurf accounts?

So I just finished my last promo, and what should have been a 7:3 there turned 6:4. My last game, three plats on their team are smurfing and spend their time promoting their private channels so we can watch them decimate other teams. This is ridiculous; they can burn lower leveled players and try and get more page views at the same time. Somehow, because of this, I am now one tier lower than I was at the end of last season, because plat tools are running around throwing burner accounts to try and spread their holy gospel to everyone trying to get higher.

To be fair, Riot shouldn't have to be responsible for the actions of others outside of their control. Just grit your teeth like the rest of us and bear it. If your as good as you say you are then you'll go up in rank eventually.

I don't think the spamming is really a problem, but I do think that ranking smurf is just a douche thing to do, because though it will raise your allies mmr, it will lower the enemies, potentially putting them in a crap spot, and even the guys with the raised mmr may not deserve to be there and will tank others mmr, etc. it just sets of a chain of events that can totally screw up a lot of peoples rank.

I agree, I have no problem with normal game smurfing but smurfing a ranked game is a troll thing to do and I have no respect for people like that. Now about a week ago I did have a high level smurf in a normal game and learned a lot.

ya, I think its actually healthy for the lower leveled people when a high ranked player smurfs with them, because they can learn new strategies and what is needed to become better, and if they are playing against them then getting creamed every once in a while is good to keep your ego from flying away lol

As of the beginning of season four the only way i see people getting a rank they actually deserve is to use a clean slate a smurf account.

You must not be looking very far, because from what I can tell, people are actually a lot closer to where they should be. This removes the main benefit of boosting and forces people to earn and keep their spot.
