New Solo Q Point Ranked System Idea

Hi summoners, I have been noticing a lot in the Solo Q games. Where you by yourself do an amazing job with Cs, Kills and Taking objectives but yet you still lose the game and lose points. I also noticed a lot of Dc/Afkers throughout the ranking system. What if during a Dc/Afk game you do an amazing job at holding your lane and trying to hold on till that Dc/Afker came back. You lose and then you lose points. That is not fair to lose points because of that. My new Point Rank system should help those with the same problems. Introducing Individual Points.....

To make it fair, the ranking system of Season 3/4 will have some features in it but the points will be different. Its called Solo Q for a reason. Sure it is a teamwork game. But Pros have a lot of Individual skills that make them who they are today. This is how the new rank point system works...

Each game point system will go now off your in-game stats rather than overall game stats. So lets say you lose a game there is a chance for you to gain points rather than losing points when it comes down to a 70 minute game that you just lost to a last minute Dc/Afker.

This is how you gain points:

Winning the Game : 3 points Most kills on team: 2 Points Most assists on team: 2 points Least Deaths on team: 2 points Most Cs on the team: 2 points Most kills between both teams: 2 points Most assists between both teams 2 points Least Deaths between both teams: 2 points Most Cs between both teams : 2 points

To make it fair for those that go afk/dc they will not gain any points if their score is 0/0/0. Instead they will lose 5 points.

This is how you lose points:

Lose Game : 3 points Leaving/Afking/Dcing a game: 5 points Most Deaths: 3 points (There can be more added to this list just need some more ideas on how to Lose points)

If I left anything out I am sorry and just message below any concerns or questions I will gladly answer. Hopefully this will make people not rage a lot and acually enjoy the game of league of legends.

You lose points for being the most deaths, that's absurd so if I'm playing Leona and I go 0-5-25 but had the most deaths I still deserve to lose points because I died making plays?

How would you suggest preventing score driven play?

I have one less death than another teammate, so I stop joining fights, or try to kite or other play that's not my champion's play style? If I change how I play to nearly guarantee I won't die and it hurts my team badly, just to save some LP, is your system better than the current one?

What about someone that goes to grab a ton of farm instead of helping the team? They want the most farm bonus LP, so Ziggs tosses his R into bottom lane and grabs 25cs instead of using it to help his team in an imminent team fight. Does your system reward greedy behavior or punish it? Does it promote self interest?

Does this ranked point idea increase kill steals? Ks'ing is already really obnoxious, but would this make it worse?

I realize that ultimately the idea is you win and don't lose points, but once a team starts losing does your system cause selfish degeneration even faster and lock in the win for a team that gets ahead early? Self interest in team games is almost never a good thing.

This is just off the top of my head, if i had more time I would structure the arguments/comments into a more cohesive layout. The ideas are all here though.

Mercy and forgiveness mechanics are, in my opinion, a better option. But, so is demoting players out of the "5" ranking into the lower medal (which I believe now happens in S4).

I'd also like to see a purgatory created under Bronze 5 for those trolls who are the worst of the worst. A place where only being gracious and accommodating to a fault would allow promotion back into true ranked play.

As a support main I dislike this. I will explain:

I never have the most kills, or assists. I never have the most cs. I never have the least deaths. I often have the most death.

Yet somehow I'm still middle of silver, and I generally win more than I lose. From support I am playing a team game. I communicate, I ping out things for top lane from bottom. I time wards and buffs and dragon. I initiate and make sure my team wins at the expense of my own stats.

By your system I will drop rankings hard, and that doesn't seem right to me.

This is all personal opinion, I am not speaking for all supports and I am open to discussing.

Ight well whats the main concern over this new point system? I mean can some be added to the scoring system? Add some small points for those who lead the team? And help those who lost their game to a 4v5?
