I was just wondering why wont they give udyr any sort of buff to keep him up to the standards of jungle play i use elise regularly and always win a 1v1 vs udyr dont get me wrong i usually win against Vi and Lee Sin as well i would like to purchase Udyr but it seems as though he lacks in a lot of areas that other junglers like Elise VI and Lee Sin all excel in so my question is will we ever see him as a top pick for jungle again
He's still a very strong jungle, he just doesn't have as much of a teamfight presence as Vi or Elise. He makes up for that in better ganks and faster clear. Try out tanky Pheonix Udyr, and makes sure you get as many conservation procs as you can and see where you are. If you are still having problems then Udyr may just not be your thing, as Elise is not mine :)
As for the 1v1, Elise has better dueling potential because of her %hp spells, simple as that. Good Udyrs should recognize that and not find themselves 1v1'ing an Elise unless they are ahead imo
