Split push Veigar top is an amazing strategy that works wonders when put in the right hands. Everytime you kill a minion as veigar you gain AP and 40% of your AP damages towers. With some attackspeed you will be able to dunk towers like you are master yi in no time. Rush the Rabbidons Death Cap and after that get Beserker greaves and then get Nashors tooth. Nashors tooth will be very strong on you because it does 15% of your AP and you can gain infinite AP. Wits end and a warmogs will help you stay alive and a sunfire cape will help you stay in battle longer. Before you hate on this idea, try it out in norms it is so broken. On top of that you should be able to kill most toplaners at lvl 6 and should heavily poke them out at level 4. Thanks for reading and have fun with this new strategy.

This sounds ridiculous and fun. How are mana costs if you are spamming q to build it up?

The main problem is that Veigar has no escapes and no mobility. Yes, he has immense single-target damage, but he just explodes if collapsed on.

Good split pushers, like Shen, Yi, and Karthus, have not only good wave clear but the ability to escape well or impact team fights that they aren't even at. Veigar has neither of these going for him.

This isn't to say that he can't split push, but he's not ideal for it.
