RIVEN. Balanced or slightly over powered.

I think that Riven is just slightly over powered. I think she's good, but has too much going for her all at once.

She has the high AD ratios, she has the movement speed, shields, stuns, and she has ranged ults that do physical damage.

I think that her ultimate needs to do magic damage when unleashed in a wave. I think this will account for the ratio bonus damage and help nerf her just enough to bring her in line.

Much like how Ashe's ult is based on magic damage.

Otherwise. I think you need to instead nerf her shield or INSTEAD maybe nerf the jump range.

Thoughts?

I think a big portion of her damage, which is often overlooked, is her passive. Though it does little mid-late game (it does some though), it is a really big part of her lane dominance, which ultimately ends up leading to a strong presence once laning is over. The problem with Riven though is similar to the the one with Irelia. Buff her too much and she becomes godly and toxic to lane against. Nerf her too hard and she becomes more or less unplayable and gets crushed.

There is a very fine balance with Riven, and I don't think they've found it yet. She is good, and needs a slight nerf. But not TOO much.

Riven has a similar problem with a lot of different champs that means they crush at certain skill levels. Riven is a champion that has an incredible feast/famine mentality, meaning if you give her an inch she'll run a mile. However, on average in higher elo riven doesn't do well because she is easy to shut down if the jungle and top work together well. Unfortunately, through no individual's fault, blind pick is not cohesive to teamwork like this and Riven players abuse that fact.

Also, on your idea for magic damage on the ult, if you give Riven a high magic damage finishing move the armor normal people build to itemize counter a riven will do a lot less. Keeping a champion's kit in one damage type mean it is much easier to itemize against this champion if they are getting out of control. Now, imho I think the bonus %hp missing could be nerfed slightly to bring her aoe in line along with a slight knock down on her shield base amount would work well for increasing a bit of counterplay but that's all imo.
