Locking screen view

Ok so Ive been playing for the last 3 year. I've recently started playing ranked and am currently sat in Silver 5. I've always played with the view not locked so I can look round the map and see where I can help gank etc. Now that I'm playing ranked (appreciate I'm new at this element of the game) I was wondering if I'd be better to lock the view and get used to it?

I'm thinking its once less thing to distract me.

Oh Im also left handed so I've had to change the key bindings for QWER so that I can used them with right hand when using arrow keys to move the view around.

Any suggestions?
