After the changes in season 4 to wriggles lantern and then turning into a feral flare, are the other items like the elder lizard and ancient golem not as good anymore on melee junglers? Is feral flare too op now or are the other jungle items still good and main stream? I've seen alot more wriggle's/ferals lately and wanted everyone else's opinion sense I main jungle and want to be the best I can be, considering my skill level at the moment.
IMO feral flare is seeing attention since it is new, it is really good on champs that use AS really well (
and similar) but is not the be all end all of jungle items. It also depends on how you are trying to build your jungler. Elder lizard will always be good on champs if you want that slight DoT and more gold, and Ancient golem will always be a nice tanky start if that is what you want.
TL DR; it is good, but will fade in a bit once people figure it out a bit more

I think general Community Consensus was to make kills assists add to feral flare and increase the stacks to 30.
This makes your jungler useful early game and gives good stats at the right time in the game.
Maybe a few number tweaks made to tone it down also is the general feel.
