so how does this soft reset & provision work?
i see diamonds getting placed in silver/gold
and bronze getting placed in silver
someone tell me how this works?

It takes your mmr and then adds a flat mmr to that, then halves the sum of your previous mmr and the flat amount, then your placement matches will test if you just got lucky in s3 and suck in s4 so you are demoted, or if you are great in s4 and deserve a promotion, this is a great opportunity for people who were placed in bronze to get out.

It takes your MMR, adds a flat 1200 (I believe) to it, then divides that by two, and then your provisionals are judged accordingly. So if you were Bronze and won against Silver, you're likely to be raised up. If you were Diamond and lost to Silver/Gold compositions (who may have been gold/plat before the reset), you'll likely drop down to their mmr.

ok, so ive won 7/10 provisionals. i have 3 games left. i went on lolking and saw that ive been playing against bronze iv n v players in all games. why am i playing this if im not fighting harder players when i win a game??? i honestly dont think im going to finish my ranked because if i get stuck in bronze again im just going to be done with league...
