How to get better at League of Legends

Okay, I'll come out and say it. I'M F*CKING BRONZE IV. Played 24 games and won 5 all probably with a negative k/d ratio. I'm pretty sure I suck at this game or something, because, again, I'm 5/24 in win loss. Thing is I love LoL, I love playing, and I wanna get better. Last game I played Lee Sin jung, and we were literally winning 45/25 (estimation)but near the very, very end, 3 of us pushed without me and the other player, and got killed. The two of us tried to help the 3 running back, but we got aced. Respawn time was too long, and we lost. How do I prevent this crap from happening? I honestly can't stand this anymore, I don't think I'm THAT bad, but I'm sure I could improve much much more. What are some things I can do to get better at LoL.

Hi, I just checked your lolking profile and I have a couple of things to say.

  1. You have success with mostly AD champs (lee, darius), but your rune pages are mostly AP.
  2. The match that you were in 2 hours ago was pretty much a lost matchup for your big damage dealer, kat. Other than that you look ok in stats I guess.
  3. You should finish that jungle item on lee, it gives you awesome stats (tenacity for example with the fist), or start differently (Dorans).
  4. AFAIK, watching streams helps a lot. Watch them and try to see what the streamer does better/worse than you.
  5. Record your games and watch them to see what you could do better.
  6. When I'm on a loss streak or just plain don't want to play ranked, I go on an ARAM for a quick lesson in teamfighting. The randomness of it helps your faculty to adapt and the constant teamfighting is a great tool for perfecting positioning

That's about it for me. Add me up if you want, I play LoL mostly on evenings after 5PM EST.

Well first of all don't be hard on yourself. You played 30 ranked games and what ~150 normal games? That's nothing in a competitive game. You get better with practice and you don't have enough practice to be good, chill, comes with time and experience.

There are TONS of videos and guides that will tell you how to get better, I don't feel like finding videos so I will link you the league "learning" channels that I am subbed to.

  1. League lectures

  2. Gbay99

  3. Trico the tester

  4. TiensiNoAkuma

  5. Stonewall008

IMO all great channels. Worth checking out.

I also recommend downloading lolreplay. Record your games and then analyze them, analyze your mistakes and what you could have done better, because there is always something you could have done better.

Go to twitch and watch the high elo players play, try to learn from them, even if they don't talk they definitely can show how it's done.

  1. Be nice
  2. Ward
  3. Ping
  4. practice.. you have like no games played.. only 150 norms and 40 ranks lol
  5. play with people that are higher ELO then you, look for your friends that are gold-diamond players, and play with them
  6. dont die
  7. if you die ALOT, just go support-ish and get tanky, this is optional only if your 0/10 because then you will be worth no money, you will get fed off assists and you wont be necessarily feeding
  8. UNLOCK your screen if you play with a locked screen,(having a locked screen can destroy your map awareness aswell as make spells harder to cast.)
  9. start using QUICK CAST, it is very efficient in casting spells, and once your used to it you can easily combo.. also set your item slots to quick cast atleast numbers 1-4 10.do NOT blame other for faults, if someone dies laugh it off and say "lol that was lame", be supportive and don't give up.

Have you attempted to an analysis of why your doing bad? I am bronze IV as well and what I have been doing is figuring out something that is hindering me CS or something, maybe its confidence or something, point is I find a problem and work on it and rinse and repeat, Back in season 2 my biggest issue was not pushing when I could have, now I have an issue with sometimes overestimating my potential in _____ situation (this applies to basically all of my champs)

Best of luck Preolectus
