Objectives vs Team Fights

I started playing the game around the end of Season 2. Back then you when lol was less popular, some of the champions were borderline overpowered. Teamfights were fast and frequent, early game invades were a big thing and , I at least felt, things were more exciting. Somewhere between then and now, the game has become solely objective oriented. I can't remember seeing very many if any early game invades and all too often, teams will be grouped and prepared for a fight but will wait for the other team to start is as they dance around an objective. As much as I like objective oriented games, I miss my random and extravagant team back and forths as both struggle for power.
