Hi! I play League of Legends since quite a while now but I always focussed on mid and bot. This means I can only play range champs good, as soon as I'm forced to go top or jungle (which fortunately doesn't happen so often) my team is screwed... I really want to change that and I was reading guides, trying to learn those positions (especially jungle). But what can I say, they were not really helpful. Now I started playing champions which have a range and melee mode (such as Nidalee or Jayce) and I think it's getting better but still complete meelee champs make me want to cry about my inability... So if someone has a good idea I'd be really thankful for tips :D

(Sorry for any mistakes you find - my native language isn't English)

my advice to you would be to watch some of the Aired live games and focus on the jungle aspect of it. There is really only so much you can grasp from guides. What helped me was practice. I've been playing lol for close to 5 yes now and jungle is my newest thing. Just find a champ like shyvana or sej. Those types have the closers and cc to help fill the range gap u miss from a dc and mid.

Hope that was somewhat helpful. And not to jumbled.

The thing that really did it for me was true map awareness. The biggest thing to a successful jungle is being where you need to be just before you need to be, or at the very least reacting fast to a sudden situation.

  1. Give your best guess where your enemy jungle is at any given time. Check his buffs, keep track of where he looked like he was going when he's seen, yada yada.

  2. Pressure = gank opportunity. Look at your team's lanes and try to see if they are losing ground before they get pushed too far into their turret. Try to move yourself to that lane in your clearing, so you either be on call for a countergank or be there for a good gank yourself. Alway realize that just revealing yourself could be a good favor too keep pressure off your team lanes.

  3. Get comfortable! Try jungle champs out (my favorite is Shyvana ) and when one feels right practice the hell out of them. It's a lot easier to branch out once you've gotten the role down well with a single champ.

Apologies if I'm repeating any guides you've read, but that's my personal step by step.
