Looking For Suggestions On A New Mid Champion To Play Since Lichbane Nerf~

So I currently am an Avid players who has been playing with as a core part of my build. Since it's nerf, I been feeling pretty useless in recent games. Im not goign to wait around for another nerf to affect my mid lane play, So I guess time for a new champ or champs to play mid. I still think it's quite impressive how I was able to have her as my one stop mid champ and roll out some Ws, but as of lately its been rough, so I thought I'd as the community for a new champ.

Sorta would like to play someone who is fun, can deal damage, and most importantly, help out a team. Thanks!

Morgana has the qualities that you're looking for and her kit has a few things in common with Lux's in lane.

Karma / Orianna seems like your best options.

Both have awesome team-helping utilities (Karma has speed shield/AoE burst speed shield, Orianna has speed boost/shield ball follow +MR).

Karma has good long ranged poke (Q, repeat) but doesn't have much to do in mid-close range combat, and Orianna is also very long ranged oriented (with some good auto-attack kicks) but would take a while to get used to because of her steep learning curve (i.e you cant just press 1 button and expect burst, you have to combo Q + W with ball to deal damage/max Q first and use it to zone - positioning of The Ball is VERY important as it dictates the area your damage would come from). She's also the only current champion that has microtasking (even though 99.99% of Orianna players just use The Ball and ignore Orianna's self power completely, no microtasking really needed there).

Thanks everyone for your input. I been trying out a lot of mids. Leblanc is fun with her distortion but kinda tricky to use. Yasuo, I over dash haha, Velkov is a hit or miss. Orianna is pretty fun and Xerath was actually my backup if Lux was taken, however recent changes, well they are weird. I need to try Karma again I suppose, but I really like karma better before the nerf. She was amazing, but people didn't understand how to play her.
