Nunu and his Q

Now I love Nunu, he is an amazing jungler and god help you if he decides to take a detour through your jungle. But his Q I feel could be changed, currently Nunu has only two damaging spells, his E and his ult which is nice but if you're caught that's not helpful. I feel his Q should do regular magic damage to champions, it doesn't even have to heal him but I feel his Q should be there in case he needs it, if he can take a chomp out of baron I feel he can take a chomp out of that Katarina at mid.

Also this would help his ganking potentional, he walks into a lane E's the champion then takes a bite. It would make Nunu much more viable. Please Riot just think about it.

I think that would just change the whole characteristic of nunu. He is a supportish jungler and a buff controller. If Q were to do dmg that would mean the dmg to minions would have to be balanced out which changes his dynamic with buff control. During ganks E is not only dmg but for slow and his W is to speed up and help the laner do more dmg. Ult is similar, to zone and slow. Nunu is not the popular jungler these days who does everything, but I still think his kit is useful and balanced to certain extent.

I like this idea a lot because i do love nunu but i have to agree that unless you can land a good ult with him you do no damage at all

Agreed 100% all Nunu can do is use E then kite away until the cooldown is back up then E again etc..

I've always found it strange that you can't target champions with Nunu's Q. Granted, it would have to be quite a bit weaker than the version used on creeps, but it would definitely assist with his options.

While I agree that Nunu does need to get modified a little so he's better outside counterjungling I'm not sure making his Q usable on champs is the way to go, mostly because that might very well turn him into a very annoying solo laner again.

A better option might be to modify the buffs he gets from Q, and make them get better as Nunu ranks Q or scale off something (or both).

so say...

Rock Candy: Nunu increases his max health by 10/12.5/15/17.5/20%

Monster tails: Nunu deals 1/1.5/2/2.5/3% of his max hp as bonus magic damage

Mystery Meat: Nunu gains 15/17.5/20/22.5/25% MS for 3/3.5/4/4.5/5 seconds

So something like that. Those numbers might be completely overpowered, just spit balling here.

Edit: to go with that the buffs might need to have their duration buffed.
