i think that shyv needs either a buff of dorans shield needs to be buffed to what it used to be i find its harder to face a renekton in lane as shyv early on which annoys me because it used to be such an equal match until of course riot nerfed dorans shield i really enjoy playing shyvana and i was wondering if riot could please buff dorans shield to what it used to be
it probably won't happen, at least going back to the way it was before the change, since D shield was really strong then. And I highly doubt that they are only looking at shyv/renek match up for balance ideas...
asides shyv scales crazy good compared to renek so just outlast him during the lane phase and you will be good. either that are improve and outplay renek players I guess.
don't get me wrong I like shyv too but I sort of like having a weakened dorans shield so it isn't as much of a must buy in games anymore
They just nerfed Dorans Shield for a reason, though. They just need to nerf Renekton. Shyvana is still fine.
Shyvana did well because doran's shield gave a huge health and regen advantage early on. Characters like shyvana thrive on damage but have no easy way of sustaining. Doran's shield basically turned shyvana into a damage dealing tank at level 1.
Doran's shield was the most cost efficient item, if not one of the most, and was bought so often that you could pretty much expect it on all tops and supports. It gave so much sustain poke was useless.
It was a welcomed nerf to players who didn't abuse doran's shield as the starting item of almost every champion, even MID LANERS got it.
Oh and on Renekton; he falls off late game and has early dominance. They are changing his early game power to late game on his Q by total scaling.
