I started off in silver 3. That's fine.. My two roommates are plat, they and myself both agree i could be gold. every promo i get into i ALWAYS have afk on my team. i'm down to silver 4 about to be demoted again. people watch me play. i'm not aggressive to my team i'm not the cancer of the team. I just always get some of the worst teammates. Anything i can do to carry myself out? cause at this point it's just becoming bullshit to deal with no matter how good i play i always lose.

Once you realize that Elo and Rank are fake and faulty systems designed to make you invest time, you'll stop caring about it. I'm glad to have never played more than 10 games in ranked, so I wouldn't fall into the trap of "get your elo up, c'mon, you can be higher, do it".

Have you tried finding a good duo partner? Having at least one other person who you know is a reliable player can help. Sometimes these things cannot be helped though.

Simply put, you can only control yourself, so make sure you are doing all you can to get that win. Need more vision? Buy a few wards or perhaps an oracles if you're ahead. You're winning mid but bot is losing? Roam down there and see if you can turn the tides. The Jungler is in trouble at your blue and you're nearby? Come help secure blue, maybe pick up a kill.

Again, sometimes there's nothing you can do about afk's, but what you CAN do is become an even better player.

Why don't you just duo with one of your roommates? Seems like an easy solution.

Duo with me we have the same issue. All i need is someone else on my team with a brain and im off to gold easy. I feel u on those afk matches thats how i got into s4 myself. On another note u need to find the right champ to carry with. Just because u do very well all the time with a champ does not mean they r the best champ to carry a bad team with. An example of this would be Fiora. I would also be careful of rolling certain split pushers since alot of teams do not know how to play with them. Chances are they will try to come save u instead of pushing mid and die even after u escape. Once u get higher up these things should start to work though. But yea let me know if u need a duo solo scares me.

Happy to take a look if you link to your real profile. Could be a lot of things. The match-making engine is pretty good, so you may just need more games to cancel out the noise of getting unlucky with bad teams.
