so we started playing ranked 5's and we do well, go 8/0 in ranked teams (solo q are all silver) so it puts us against diamond 1's.. gee thanks. got destroyed by their perfect farm and couldn't do anything out matched soo hard.

The more you win, the harder people they put you against...That's exactly what matchmaking is for. It tries to find where you belong in the ladder.
