Hello! I'm wondering if anyone could explain to me exactly how dodging ranked queues works, lp wise. I dodged one last week on tuesday and lost 3 lp, but I dodged one just now and lost close to ten. What's up with that?

This is verly likely because you dodged two games in a certain span of time. I assume when you dodge a game next time it would be far more than 10 LP.
You lose 3 lp on the first one, with a 5 and a half minute penalty. The next time you dodge a ranked queue you lose 10 lp and a half an hour wait penalty. Unfortunately if your modem/router crashes during lobby this is also considered abandonment. You also (I may be wrong) have to play X amount of games before dcing from another lobby
