New Game Mode; Capture the Flag

So with all the releases and talk about new games modes Riot is trying out, I thought I'd take a sec and share an idea I've had since I've started playing LoL. Why not a Capture the Flag mode? Imagine all the plays that could be made.

Details:

Map: Could be played on Summoner's Rift or have another map created for it entirely. I know this would be alot of work so Summoner's Rift would work just fine.

Score: First to 3 Captures wins (could be more or less, 3 is just the conscious amongst CTF modes in other games).

Other details: Would still be 5v5, and could be tuned to play where each side has a flag, splitting up the roles on each team as defense and offense (would also open up oppurtunities for some teams to go on full-on assualts, or some teams to focus on setting up ironwall defenses).

Turrets could still remain as means to destroy before you can grab the flag, or they could be taken out to force teams to be defensive and have someone rovering around base to ensure the flag's safety.

Vision could remain the same and warding would become important as to see more of the map incase a flag is missing so you can chase the flag carrier down. No warding = no chance. This will also help teach the importance of warding.

Stealth champs can still be played (imagine a sneaky Evelynn grabbing the flag right under the nose of the enemy team) but once they hold a flag, invisibility goes away. This will ensure no one will abuse invisibility (can you imagine a teemo flagholder? As if we can't hate him enough already).

Imagine the plays that could be made in this mode:

Picture a TwistedFate ulting right next to an enemy flag carrier seconds before he was about to score, hitting him with a yellow card, and narrowly protecting his team from going down a score.

How bout a Malphite flag carrier, 1v5, desperately trying to score a final point to win the game for his team, his teammates cheering him on anxiously while on death timers, and his ults into the enemy team, knocks them up, blinks out of their grasps, and scores to seal the win, to the wild applause of his respawning teammates.

A Nidalee throwing a last second spear to stop a would-be scorer from ending the game.

The possibilities are endless. Of course, I'm not a game desiger, and their would need to be some definite tweeking, but I think the upside to this game mode would be tremendous. This would allow for a gamemode that's less of a mad-race to get kills; but rather a chance to showcase all the champ's kits and maybe allow for some previously lesser played champs to regain the spotlight through the use of their kits and ability to make plays.

Please let me know what you think and share any comments/ideas you may have to improve this idea.

Thanks!

This would be so unbalanced, it would hurt. Rammus, Hecarim, Quinn, Evelynn, and Rengar would dominate this game. It would definitely have to be designed to somehow allow countering to movement speed champions and stealth champions.

I wish they would make an official version of Hide and Seek - it would also be hard to balance, but it is so fun in custom games to play.

That actually sounds very irritating. TF walks up to flag. "TF has captured the flag!" TF: teleport

Sounds like alot of fun! having draft style picks and bans would make it really strategic. Balancing is obviously not an issue with the fun game types. (see ofa)
