Sweeping lens- possible glitch

Noticed while playing a ranked game that the opposing fiddlesticks used his sweeping lens over a warded bush. The ward received a "disabled" icon above it, but i was still able to see fiddle in the bush. I thought the mechanics were to literally disable the ward and therefore the vision while the trinket is active. If i'm incorrect please let me know ha!
