I need some help climbing in solo queue. I feel like my teammates can never give me any help. I know it is bad to blame your teammates but i still feel like they dont help at all. Anyway, does anyone have any tips to help climb as an adc. Can you guys recommend any youtubers or streamers to watch? Also feel free to give any tips.

P.s. I am now silver 5 now but not after getting to silver 3 first.

Hi! Thou I am in Bronze 3 and I didn't play ranked much, but I am an ADC main. Yes, I know how you feel when you are paired up with a random noob support or a jungler that never ganks. The only tip that I can give you is: Get a Partner. I usually carried my team a lot using ADC because my partner (little sis) is becoming my support. She just play with me 20 cm beside me. Why am I suggesting you a partner? because thru oral communication, you will have a better teamwork like when to kill and when to back off so you will not end up your support is in the middle of the enemy's support and ADC while you are running away. You also cant blame or flame your partner anyways. Can't have your partner beside you? SKYPE call! That's it.

Knowing certain team comps and adc's that work well with those team comps could help, Sivir for example works well with "All in" teams, read actual guides for your champs, not just what items to get on them, some guides might tell you tricks you might not know such as how Cait can insta cast q after an e if timed correctly (not sure if it's been patched) this I learned from reading a guide and has actually helped me secure kills before. Also this is common sense but try not to piss off your support, ever now and then they might accidentally (or purposefully) steal a kill, just tell them gj and live with it. Things happen.

Thats all i can really say, also you shouldn't be trying to just go up with adc, Pick order > Preference

If you're not duoing with the support, and don't want to risk it, I'd recommend shooting for ADCs that aren't as reliant on their team peeling for them. I really like MF, but I'd probably wouldn't play her in solo-q because she has zero escapes. I suggest picking up Ezreal (an all-around safe pick) or Lucian, Caitlyn depending on how you play her.

Look to help out mid whenever you can, especially if they're struggling. A fed enemy APC is bad news for you.

Make sure you and the support are on the same page before you even get to lane. If you want to play passive or aggressive and/or when you plan to shift between the two, communicate that to them.

If you're dying to the same enemy champion every team fight, don't try to keep building glass cannon and out damage them. If they have a fed LB or APC pick up a Banshee's. Randuins or earlier GA for assassins. Building damage means very little if you can't live long enough to dish it out.

I have a simple guide to follow that does not involve any of this watching youtube or streamers.

  1. have your team ban strong champions
  2. pick the remaining strong champions for your team
  3. destroy the enemy towers
  4. kill the dragon and possibly baron as often as possible
  5. profit.

Since you are at least in silver, I should not have to tell you what the stronger champions are. However I will at least give you a quick cheat sheet on what champions to select for each role. Just because you are trying to be the adc does not mean that you are going to be the one to carry the game. It just means that you are going to be the main damage dealer in team fights later on in the game, and if your team has half a brain combined between the other four members they should realize this and adjust their strategies and builds accordingly.

Top: LeeSin Mid: LeeSin Bot: LeeSin Jun: LeeSin

This will ensure that your champion is always the strongest on the field of justice. This will also give you the best chance to just straight up carry a game and win irreguardless of how full retard your teammates are. You will be able to bail your teammates out of bad situations and turn those bad situations into possibly more positive outcomes instead.
