Patch 4.5 Runes - Seals

Hey guys,

I created a spreadsheet showing the changes for seal runes (Armor, Health and Health regen).

Here is some insight on the discussion on whether to use health or armor runes.

I plan on maybe adding health/armor efficiency and graphs to the spreadsheets if there is enough interest.

What do you guys think about the rune changes? As a Diamond ADC main I have some insight on runes for ADC, but what about other roles?

Also I am not sure if this topic should go in Live Balance or Gameplay and Strategy =P

My thoughts, without doing any math:

I probably won't use Armor per Level Seals. I think they're strictly inferior to Health per Level. Again, this is entirely without doing any math, but I'm guessing that the prevalence of Last Whisper among high-AD champions, and the large amount of Magic damage that's always present, I'm likely to always want Health/level as my late-game defensive Seal.

Flat Armor is still very good. I haven't run the numbers, but because it mildly multiplies HP regen, lifesteal, potions, etc., I'm likely to keep running flat Armor if I expect to take moderate Physical damage in lane.

Flat Health is actually usable now. I'm guessing that any lane where I don't expect to take Physical damage, I'll use these.

Health Regen, I have no idea. These might work really well in matchups where I expect to get harassed a lot, but not get all-in'd. I could see this if I'm facing Zyra, Sona, or Morgana support. Maybe even Vayne vs. Caitlyn. I could see it if I'm facing Vladimir as some tanky sustain guy. Unsure. I'm also not sure when Regen vs. Regen/level break even. I could see it working there as well, if I'm okay with relying on potions early game, then being supremely annoying late.

I voted on flat armor because I don't have those other seals yet. I'll probably start collecting Flat Health and Health per level next.

Even after the massive nerf to those seals, they're still the best in game. It's a little stupid on how despite this, they still are more worthwile than the armor per level seals. The main thing that I use runes for is a little boost at the beginning (with exception to my attack speed and movement speed marks and quints respectively), because the scaling ones just don't scale well late game. By the time you hit level 9, you're items are already doing so much more than the seals could ever do, even if you're sucking up in the lane or jungle.

I made a spreadsheet before the patch came out. It has every rune change.

Beginning to use armor/level seals because they seem really good now compared to before when flat armor were basically mandatory. Now they hit the equilibrium with flat armos sooner, and ramp up to be very effective late game.
