Jungle Poppy Good?

I've been reading online and seen some people play jungle poppy and let me tell you, it was hard to decide whether or not she's good.

Pros

  • Good at Ganking

  • Gets rid of her weak early game

  • Hard to kill

  • Awesome Tank

  • Solo Dragon at Lvl 8

Cons

  • Slow at Jungling

  • Not good at soloing Enemies

  • No Slow

  • She is Slow

  • Low Magic Resist

  • Hard to Play

  • Solo Baron at lvl 18

My Opinion

She is viable, She is an excellent ganker and can totally carry the whole team and is almost unkillable. If you want to play as her I totally recommend it. When people in your queue tell you to be someone else tell them to shut up because Poppy is awesome.

Ok so here is the thing with jungle Poppy. It theoretically solves her biggest problem - It lets her farm without the issue of enemies killing you when you go to last hit. But the problem with Jungle Poppy is that her clear is so slow that if you aren't successful in ganking, you will have less gold than you would have had if you went top and farmed half decently. Despite what most people believe, its actually possible to farm as Poppy in the top lane., as long as you stay safe and aren't playing against someone like Renekton.

So what other reason might you play jungle Poppy? The level 2 invade. Like a Kha'zix or Tiger Udyr, its possible for Poppy to kill the enemy at their second buff. Her E works wonders, and Q does tons of damage, even at low levels. This allows her to snowball early on, an advantage a top lane Poppy will rarely experience.

Poppy is a good choice when your laners have CC for you to follow up on. Her E is all about positioning, a laner's stun works wonders for letting her make the most of E. Poppy also requires that you have a tanky top. She may be durable, but she dies under focus. She truly is a carry jungler. She cannot be your only tank.
