Is the Scorpion's rework coming to live soon? ~~~> Skarner

For anyone who doesn't know Skarner is a somewhat unpopular champion due to the fact his E is a waste of mana for what it does and because his ult, a 1.75 second suppression in which you can literally "grab and drag" members of the team out of position, because it is able to be cleansed. Thus making it useless against prime targets who have taken the summoner spell or built QSS.

Anyway thats who the Scorpion is and what it has been said has been going on with him. I just wanted to know if there is any general timeframe when I can look forward to seeing the lil bug running around the Rift with his tweaked and reworked kit.

Also would love to know what people think of the rework and what it will have by manner of strengths/weaknesses against the old kit.

I heard somewhere (I can't remember where so I could be completely wrong) that his rework was going to be going up sometime after the upcoming Xerath rework.

His old kit compared to the new one seems to have a lot more sustain, though. The new rework puts more emphasis on his defense, not sure if this is a bad thing or not. Though I do like the new cc on fracture, as it would make ganking easier.

@ FXStrato He didn't have any sustain in his old kit though since no one took a point in his E until it was the only skill available to put a rank in. And I feel like his attack speed steroid with his Q is more offensive than defensive. You typically build Iceborn Gauntlet on him anyway which prevents the enemy from running away to quickly and if the new kit is alright to put points into E early then you have another slow as is.

@Red Strike0 Even though they partially scrapped the Xerath rework to do parts of it over?

The rework is actually a fail. The missle speed, the slow duration, is a joke of an E.

Also, splitting up his power like this makes it hard to level him. You need ALL of his skills. Q for damage, W for sustain, and E for the slow.

The ramp up speed on the W makes this a nerf, not a buff. And even with the shield buff, it still drops off incredibly fast. So it doesn't make up for any kind of "sustain" that skarner's current E provided while laning.

The attack speed buff is nearly impossible to keep up when running down an enemy champ. This iteration has also nerfed his tower taking ability by a lot.

HAVING to build an Iceborn Gauntlet or a Frozen Mallet (which is fairly expensive) in order to be able to secure a kill and stick to an opponent is just dumb.

The cooldown on his E... its way too high as is the mana cost.

RIOT really just needs to buff his current kit a little bit. This "rework" is no good.
